Gigabyte prepares its own UMPC for CeBIT 2021
French resource Clubic reports that a new face may soon appear among the manufacturers of ultra mobile PCs (UMPC) – Gigabyte.
Its first such product, the U60, is due to be presented at the CeBIT 2021 in Hanover, March 15-21.
The Taiwanese company gave preference to the VIA C7-M processor over Intel products when developing its solution. It is not alone in this, for example, Samsung has been offering its Q1 with just such processors for some time (model Q1b).
It is reported that the display of the U60 will be slightly smaller than most of its counterparts – 6.5 versus 7 inches diagonally. Its resolution will be, according to the source, 800 x 600 pixels (when you look at the photo of the novelty, it seems more likely, nevertheless, 800 x 480).
The UMPC will have a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 1.8-inch hard drive with a capacity of 20 or 30 GB, Wi-Fi 802 controller.11b / g, two USB ports. SD and MMC support is declared from memory cards.
The weight of the Gigabyte U60 will be 720 grams. Unfortunately, there is no information yet on the battery life of this UMPC, or on the availability and prices. Let’s wait for the official presentation.
