What Corsair will show at CeBIT?
Corsair, known primarily for its fast memory modules, announced its plans for the CeBIT exhibition starting March 15.
The DOMINATOR series will once again feature DDR2-10000 modules in sets of two, 1 GB each. Unlike CES, already serial modules will be shown at CeBIT. The clock frequency of such a memory of 1250 MHz makes it one of the fastest products available on the market today (perhaps only Patriot announced faster modules). It is expected that the timings of such memory will be 5-5-5-18.
Recall that such high-speed characteristics of Corsair modules are largely due to the proprietary Dual-path Heat Xchange (DHX) cooling system, which allows you to use two ways of heat removal from the memory chips of the module.
The first removes heat through the pins of the BGA microcircuits to the printed circuit board of the memory module (PCB). To maximize the efficiency of this heat dissipation path, a special module PCB was created. The height of the board has been increased to make it possible to install a special cooling heatsink. This special heatsink provides heat dissipation from the memory chips through the BGA pins and the bottom layer of the PCB.
A second, more traditional heat dissipation path runs through the top of the chip cases into high-performance, extruded aluminum heatsinks.
